10 ft Surf Board Leash, 5.5mm/7.0mm Thick Urethane Coiled Paddle Board Leash. Coiled Spring Leg Foot Rope SUP Leash for Shortboard, Longboard, Paddleboard, Kayak
I have to say this leash is pretty darn sick. I know it was meant for a paddle board; however, I’m using it on my long board which is a 10′ 8′ triple fin longboard for surfing, that has the ability like most boards to swap out how many fins you’d like to use. The point is that I was initially concerned if it was going to tie to my board properly because it was a paddle board leash BUT let me assure you that you will have zero issues. This is literally an all-purpose leash, and the bottom Velcro is super strong, there’s not going to be any worries there and you could tie it to your board with no problem there. The other side is more of the same, that part that of the leash that goes on your leg is amazingly comfortable and secure.I believe the only gripe or thing I did not notice on this leash is that it does not have a quick release system so if I were ever to go in heavy surf in my travels I would definitely be packing a knife in my board shorts if I were ever to be in trouble and cut this leash off me so a quick release system would be very cool but keep in mind it is a paddle board leash it’s not meant to be in surf, but will work just fine. Typically, where this is going to attach to your leg, like around your thigh area, which is where most longboard surfers attach it fits perfect for that. The bottom line, this is a quality leash and it’s going to do the job for you, and you have plenty of room with it as well. Again, the only thing I wish it had was a quick release system, but it wouldn’t be fair to judge the product on that being the product is made for a paddle board and not a surfboard. However, when I think about it, paddleboards are meant for surf conditions as well and go out into surf, so I am actually kind of surprised it does not have a quick release system now that I think about it. Again, I guess it’s two different things and it is what it is. All that being said, I totally recommend this leash especially at the price range you cannot beat it, it performed well paddleboarding and I am actually using it tomorrow on a little swell that’s pushed through, so I’m excited to actually get it in the water and use it for surfing. I have already used it for paddle boarding, and it stood up just fine so the test that I really want will be tomorrow which I’m excited to see how it does in a swell. The bottom line is that this leash is great and at the price point it’s a winner and worth picking up. It was under ten dollars people this was a steal. 5 stars! It’s not often I give 5 stars but well done, five stars deserved.!
