Berkley Hot Line Cutter with Replacement Tip & 2-AAA Batteries

This tool was designed as a line-cutter for braided line, which it does perfectly. However, I primarily use it to mend plastic baits that normally get thrown away after they are torn from a couple of fish. If you dry the water from your plastic baits, you can mend them in 2-3 seconds and use the again. Just insert the hot tip into the torn spot and run it back and forth a couple times until you see the plastic start to melt, remove the tool and quickly pinch the plastic together for a second or two and you are back in business. I carry spare batteries in my tackle box so that I never run out of power or never run out of a “hot bait” while on the water.
